Thought experiments in physics education at High School level

Academic achievement was assessed in an empirical investigation comparing conventional means of instruction with an approach to physical laws via the use of thought experiments. The thought experiments were designed to provide a deepened understanding of quantitative relations between physical quantities such as proportionality, inverse proportionality or exponential dependence.
